Paul Barrilles Trio
The Paul Barrilles Trio is a drummer-led ensemble with its own take on the art of musical conversation in a piano trio format. Through idiosyncratic arrangements of jazz standards, original compositions, and eccentric musicianship, this trio exemplifies a unique approach to the jazz lexicon.

IRIS
IRIS is a band consisting of Arman Sangalang, Kirby
Fellis, Austyn Menk, Morgan Turner, and Paul Barrilles. The group was born out of five peers’
mutual desire to fuse jazz’s historic subgenres, such
as hard bop and post bop, with a modern aesthetic.
The band members’ compositions seek to preserve
the tradition of jazz while exploring each
individual’s experiences as musicians. Their upcoming EP (expected 2023) pays homage to their
influences.

TRIO PROFONDO
Trio Profondo is Jimmy Farace (baritone saxophone), Stephen Parisi (bass), and Paul Barrilles (drums). The Chicago based Ensemble presents Black American Music through an uncommon and exciting instrumentation. In addition to their original compositions, the trio’s repertoire draws inspiration from the Great American Songbook, Post-Bop, and contemporary Jazz Masters. Trio Profondo’s aesthetic concept revolves around the theme of depth, as exemplified by the group’s exploration of the rich contrapuntal possibilities between baritone and bass voices.
